Preventative Measures to Protect Your Stored Goods

Dear AG Self Storage Customers,

Once again, I would like to thank you for deciding to store your valuable belongings with us!

I would like to make you aware of an issue I recently learned about from another self-storage facility owner.  Apparently, concrete floors, particularly new concrete floors, can have condensation/sweating when the temperature gets warm, especially after a very cold winter.

So, if you have items that could be damaged by condensation or sweating, like a mattress, I seriously recommend, just in case, that you place wood, pallets, bricks or anything else that will lift your items off the floor to protect them.

As an accommodation to help you protect your storage items in case of concrete slab condensation / sweating, we have now loaded several pallets in Unit #22, which are available for your use.  Please let me know when our pallet stock is getting low and I will refill!

Also, if we get a few days where the temperature makes a considerable jump, please go check your unit and if, at all possible, open the doors for an hour or two to air it out.

Lastly, if you have placed a mattress in your unit, I would strongly recommend that you purchase a mattress bag for protection.  Mattress bags can be purchased for $10 to $20, as shown in the link to amazon below.

Please feel free to email me at if you have any questions.  You can also call me at 802-985-8269.

Thank You Very Much!
