New Self Storage Facility In Johnson Now Open!

A new Self Storage Facility in Johnson Vermont is now open!.  As you may have seen while driving on Route 15 through Johnson,  AG Self Storage has been constructing their new facility since early October 2017.  With Tom Bjerke of Donald Blake Jr. managing the construction, the facility has been built quickly and with care.

AG Self Storage, owned by the Lazar Family in Charlotte, Vermont,  builds small, upscale self storage facilities in smaller communities around Vermont.  What does "upscale" mean?  Well, upscale means brand new facilities that consider the impact on neighbors and the community, as well as offering a high quality, totally secure facility, using technology to simplify the self storage experience.

As noted in the "Why Choose Us" page of their website, AGSelfStorageVT.com, AG Self Storage makes the case that if you need storage for your personal or business belongings, whether it is a classic car, a boat, excess business inventory or your home furnishings, using  AG Self Storage is a great idea, because as they say "We Care".

AG Self Storage makes Security  their top priority.  Unlike most smaller storage sites, the Johnson Facility is completely surrounded by a 6' fence, with ornamental fencing along Route 15 to improve the appearance to passersby.  There is an electronic gate requiring customers to use their personal code to enter or leave the facility. There are over 30 High Resolution IP Cameras around the facility to enable  comprehensive video surveillance.

They have tried to make renting a unit as simple and convenient as possible.  Customers can rent or pay for their unit at the user-friendly website, by calling the professional call center or by using the Self Service Kiosk at the entrance to the facility.  You can drive up to the gate, walk into the Kiosk Service Center, view a model 10X10 unit and then rent the unit that meets your needs at the Self Service Kiosk, which is like an ATM or Check-in Kiosk at the airport.  If you have any trouble renting a unit at the Self Service Kiosk, you can simply call the AG Self Storage support line right from the Kiosk.

This facility was actually designed in 2012 by the owners, at that time, of the Landmark Tavern.  AG Self Storage, therefore, was fairly constrained by the previous permits in making any significant changes to the design. However, AG Self Storage did whatever it could to reduce the impact on the Johnson Community as much as possible.  As you may notice, all of the building walls and doors are the same color and the roofs are pitched with a green standing seam roof, creating a subtler and more attractive appearance.  The Route 15 building end walls were designed without any units facing the road.  AG Self Storage plans to work with the Johnson Beautification Committee to paint murals on 1 or 2 of these blank end walls with artwork that reflects the character of Johnson.

AG Self Storage looks forward to being a friendly and helpful business to the residents of Johnson and the surrounding communities.
